God Answers Prayer!

Are you ready to hear a blessing? The Lord has answered our prayers and has given me an opportunity to serve as an intern with our sending church, Bible Baptist Church Wilmington! I am excited to share this wonderful news. It is truly an honor and a blessing to work alongside a great team! Each one serving with all their heart to further God's kingdom on earth.

As most of you already know, we have been praying for this opportunity for nearly six years. Why did we have to wait so long? I'm glad you ask that question. The simple answer is that we were not ready. We had to wait on the Lord's timing and that meant, for us, a lot of preparation work. The Lord has taught us throughout these years how to depend on Him. He even gave us an advanced course of patience and continues to teach us, sometimes the hard way, how to wait on Him. :)

About Our Internship:

Our Pastor wants to make sure that we have all the training we need in order to be successful and has offered us this six-month internship to expose me to every area of ministry. I see it as an advanced class in ministry and a wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord while learning how to shepherd a church.

After Our Internship:

After completing this internship, Laura and I will meet all requirements for becoming career missionaries and will be going for approval in Feb-Mar 2021. Then we will begin our deputation to raise our support needed to minister in Canada.

Reaching Canada

Spreading the gospel in Canada

I keep asking the Lord, "How can our family, in Martinsville Ohio, reach the lost people in Canada?" Just because the border is closed and we are unable to enter the country, doesn't mean we cannot reach them. The Lord has shown us ways and we are now reaching them through Facebook and by giving to other solid churches in the country that are engaged in evangelistic activities. It is our hope and prayer that through these efforts people will come to put their trust in faith in Christ.

“Every month when we evaluate that situation again, we'll take into account what's going on, on both sides of the border. But, as you know, as we look at further planning out, we have to look at different options of how we can increase safely—as safely as possible—international travel,” Tam said.

The Canada-U.S. border could be closed for months... | CBC News

"There's really no reason why the Canadian government, at this point, would want to open it up and subject Canadians to an increased rate of COVID infections."

Please do not get discouraged by the continual border closure extensions. We are waiting upon the Lord and have time to wait. The Lord is doing a mighty work and when He is ready for us to go, the border will open.
